PRESCHOOL / COMBO CLASS (ages 3-5)

This beginning class consists of tap and ballet (weekly), with occasional tumbling. Children are introduced to basic terminology and positions of the feet, hands, and body.

BALLET (ages 5 & up)

Ballet is the cornerstone of all dance styles. It teaches proper placement, balance, alignment, technique and control. Classes focus on barre work, center exercises, terminology, and body positioning.

Dancing on pointe is the act of standing on the tips of the toes while performing ballet steps, and requires strength and skill. This class is available by teacher recommendation only, and depends on the dancer's level of technique and rate of progress.

Tap is an exciting form of dance in which dancers wear special shoes equipped with metal taps. Dancers use their feet to create sound, rhythmic patterns and timely beats. Lyrical is a combination of ballet, jazz, and modern, or contemporary dance techniques. It combines many of the technical elements of ballet with the lighter aspects of jazz and modern dance. Lyrical dance is expressive, simultaneously subtle and dynamic, focused on conveying musicality and emotion through movement. It inspires dancers to use movement to interpret music and express emotion.

LYRICAL (ages 7 & up)

ACRO (ages 5 & up)
